The Association Globus et Locus was set up on the initiative of the Milan Chamber of Commerce and the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
The functional approach to the issues associated with the global and local dialectic led to an enlargement of the membership to include functional and national bodies in Northern Italy: the Chambers of Commerce (Milan,Turin and Trieste), Banking Foundations (Compagnia di San Paolo, Fondazione Cariplo, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Torino) and the Regional Authorities (Lombardy and Piedmont).
Globus et Locus has also established a meaningful working relationship with the Italian Swiss Broadcasting Corporation and the City of Lugano. The association is also open to co-operation and partnership with research centres, institutions and organizations on an international scale.
Board of Directors
As a non-profit organisation, Globus et Locus is governed by a Board of Directors composed of five members:
